Crozet Family Dental — Crozet, VA
A treatment room at Crozet Family Dental

new patients

Becoming a patient takes one phone call.

Here's the whole process: book online or call 434-823-4080, bring your insurance card, and show up. We handle records transfer from your previous office, verify your coverage before you arrive, and same-week appointments are often available — not a waitlist.

Everything else on this page is detail. The call is the only required step.

What your first visit looks like

Plan on about an hour: a conversation about your history and what you want (that part matters more than people expect), X-rays if you're due, a cleaning when scheduling allows, and a doctor's exam with everything explained on the screen. You leave with a plain-language picture of where things stand — and if that picture includes treatment, honest options with written numbers.

The first-visit page walks through it step by step if you like knowing exactly what's coming.

Misty morning over rolling green hills

If it's been years — read this part

About a third of our new patients haven't seen a dentist in over five years. Start wherever you are — tell the front desk and we'll block extra time.

Tell the front desk when you book. That's the entire protocol. We'll block extra time, start with the conversation instead of the instruments, and skip the lecture — you already know the calendar math, and we're glad you're here now.

Whatever the years did is just a starting point. The plan goes in the order that matters, at a pace you control, with the raise-your-hand rule in force from minute one.

Insurance, forms, and money questions

No insurance? Ask about the Virginia Dental Club — membership pricing for the care you actually need.

Most major insurance is accepted — the fastest check is texting a photo of your card, and we'll confirm what's covered before your visit. Registration paperwork can be handled ahead through the registration page, and honest cost conversations happen before treatment, always.

No insurance? That's what the Virginia Dental Club exists for — membership pricing for the care you actually need. Details on its page and from the front desk.

One minute on what ending dental fear looks like: a nervous young patient's visit from the front door to the chair — and the grin on the way out. Produced by Crozet Family Dental and Willis & Associates.

Questions we hear in the chair

How soon can I actually get in?
Same-week appointments are often available — with at least two full-time doctors in the building Monday through Friday, the schedule has real capacity for new patients.
Do I need my old records before my first visit?
No — book first. Give us the name of your previous office and the records transfer is our job, and X-rays only get retaken if yours are too old to treat from safely.
How soon can I be seen?
Same-week appointments are the norm for new patients. Emergencies move faster — call and say so.
Do you take my insurance?
We work with many dental insurance plans. Call or text us to begin insurance verification — our team can verify your benefits and provide an estimate before your visit.
Can you get my records from my old dentist?
Yes — sign one release and we do the chasing. X-rays recent enough to reuse mean you won't be re-irradiated for bureaucracy.
Can my whole family become patients at once?
That's our favorite kind of booking — 13 operatories exist precisely so a household can be seen in one block. Say how many when you call.
