Crozet Family Dental — Crozet, VA

new patients

The questions every new patient asks.

The answers below cover what the front desk hears daily. Anything they don't, the front desk itself does — one call, a real person.

Questions we hear in the chair

Are you taking new patients?
Yes — with same-week appointments as the norm. Book online or call and ask for the next available.
Do you take my insurance?
We work with many dental insurance plans. Call or text us to begin insurance verification — our team can verify your benefits and provide an estimate before your visit.
What if I don't have insurance?
The Virginia Dental Club is our membership answer for uninsured patients — it has its own page, and the front desk can walk you through current details in one call.
How much will my visit cost?
Exam-and-cleaning visits are usually covered fully by insurance plans with preventive benefits. Any treatment beyond that gets a written figure before it happens — cost conversations here come first, not on the way out.
Do you see children?
From the first tooth on. Family blocks — parents and kids the same afternoon — are normal scheduling here.
What about emergencies?
Call 434-823-4080 first — a doctor is in the building every weekday, and the emergency pages on this site cover what to do in the first minutes for the common ones.
How long is a first visit?
About an hour: history, X-rays if due, cleaning when scheduling allows, doctor's exam, and a plain-language summary. The first-visit page walks through it step by step.
It's been years since I've seen a dentist. Is that a problem?
It's a Tuesday here. Tell the front desk when you book — extra time gets blocked, the lecture gets skipped, and the plan starts from today, not from guilt.

Serving Crozet for 50+ years. At least two full-time doctors in the building, Monday through Friday.
